WHAT IS “VZMEO” ?

           The enterprise began its activity since 1984 as an enterprise for manufacturing of products for special purpose. Therefore the name of the enterprise corresponded to its profile – “VZRTA” (Volgodonsk plant of radio technical equipment).

The plant possessed high-precision production facilities. This enabled to manufacture the wide range of complex technical production.

Keeping its previous name the enterprise was reprofiled in 2000 for manufacturing of equipment and spare parts for iron- and steel works, pulp and paper plants, construction industry, heat and nuclear power plants, products for oil- and chemical plants.

In connection with the extension of assortment of products manufactured and the development of additional sectors of the industrial market in the field of manufacturing the non-standard equipment, equipment for metallurgy, among them nuclear power industry, construction industry, it was necessary in 2004 to rename the enterprise - OAO “VZMEO” (Volgodonsk plant of metallurgical and power equipment). And now the name of the plant conforms to the profile of products manufactured

Volgodonsk-town, where the plant is located, is situated on the bank of the Tsymlyansk water reservoir and has a wide net of transport communications.
